Type Locality and Naming
Along the village of Zavron, Central Tajikistan. M.R. Jalilov, Yu.N. Andreev, F.Kh. Hakimov, et al., 1971 (191, p.78). Stratotype in the area of the village of Zavron.

Lithology and Thickness
At the bottom, dark gray lumpy siltstone (aleurolites) with sandstone layers, with phosphorite pebbles; at the top, sandy, detrital limestones, shell limestones. Thickness up to 80 m
